James is a television producer and writer. He is currently executive producing a pilot for Spike TV along with his comedy troupe, The Tenderloins.  In addition, he works in development for North South Productions, and recently produced a new late night talk show for ABC affiliates called "The Edge."  In 2007, he produced "Up Your Alley," a show for Buena Vista Television.  He was also the Executive Producer and Creator of the A&E comedy tv pilot,  “I Never Said That” starring Tim Meadows.  The improvised hidden-camera show is based

on James’ show “Criss-Cross,” which premiered at the 2005 New York Television Festival.  The show marks the first sale of an independent pilot from the NYTVF.

Other recent credits include "The Super Mega Awesome Travel Show," a pilot that James co-directed and co-produced, which premiered at the 2006 New York Television Festival and played at the 2007 Independent Television Festival.  In addition, James regularly pitches new television shows, ranging from scripted comedies and thrillers to reality tv.

James is also a member of The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe, which is currently shooting a Tenderloins TV pilot for Spike TV.   In addition, the troupe won a number of challenges on NBC’s “It’s Your Show TV” competition, winning a total of $110,000 from the network.  The Tenderloins have been featured numerous times on the homepages of YouTube, MySpace, LiveVideo.com, IFilm.com, Veoh.com, TheDailyReel.com, CollegeHumor.com, Break.com and DotComedy.com to name a few.   They are have been ranked #1 out of over 28,000 comedians on MySpace for weeks at a time.  In addition, they actively license their sketch comedy to interested parties.

James currently teaches a Viral Video class at the People’s Improv Theatre in NYC.

Finally, James completed the CBS Directing Program and recently finished writing his first novel "SUB TERRANEAN." He is a recipient of 2 grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council to write 7 short thrillers in 2007.

James is a graduate of Georgetown University with a BA in English.
