James Murray has worked as
a director, writer and producer for the past 8 years. He
recently created and directed the comedy tv show ‘Criss-Cross,’
which was one of only seven comedies to be accepted into the 2005
New York Television
Festival. A&E has ordered the pilot
for the show, making it the first show to sell from the
Festival. James is attached as Executive Producer and
Creator, and the show is being produced by Borderline TV. |
Other
recent directing credits include the award-winning comedy
‘The Right Moment,’ the award-winning thriller
'Subway,' and the award-winning music video
‘Everybody, Come Out’ that has aired on BET.
James has
also worked as an Associate Producer for Entertainment for NBCi
and as a casting director.
In addition, James is professionally trained in improvisation by Charna Halpern and Del Close of
ImprovOlympic, and has taught these subjects to thousands of students in the past 10 years. He is a member of one of New York's most talented improv and sketch comedy troupes,
The Tenderloins. The T-loins have performed
hundreds of sold-out shows in the past six years, including shows for
PSNBC, MadTV, the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival and the Miami Improv Festival.
James just completed co-writing a feature romantic comedy and writing a feature thriller, his first novel
"SUB TERRANEAN" is now complete, and he is currently developing two more tv
shows, a one hour thriller and a half hour comedy.
James is a graduate of Georgetown University with a BA in English and Theatre. |
